Workplace First Aid Training Made Simple

If someone becomes ill or injured at work, your team needs people who can act calmly, safely and quickly.

Emergency First Aid at Work—usually called EFAW—gives nominated staff essential first-aid knowledge and practical skills for workplace emergencies.

We deliver the training at your premises, so your staff can learn together without travelling to a public course.

Choose a standard one-day course or ask about blended learning, combining online theory with a shorter practical session at your workplace.

Is EFAW right?

Is EFAW the Right Course for Your Team?

EFAW may be suitable for workplaces that need trained first-aiders with essential emergency skills.

It is commonly considered by:

  • Offices and administrative workplaces

  • Shops and customer-facing businesses

  • Smaller workplaces with lower levels of risk

  • Teams needing nominated staff to handle emergency first-aid situations

  • Businesses that want a practical, straightforward workplace first-aid course

If your workplace involves more significant hazards, machinery, higher-risk activity or a need for wider first-aid skills, the fuller First Aid at Work course may be more appropriate.

You do not need to work this out alone. Send us a few details about your workplace and we will explain the available options. Your formal first-aid needs assessment remains the basis for deciding what provision you require.

EFAW delivery opt

Choose the delivery option that works best for your workplace.

One-day EFAW course

The complete Emergency First Aid at Work course is delivered in person at your workplace during one working day.

This option is ideal for teams who want their learners trained and practically assessed together, with no online learning to complete beforehand.

Blended EFAW course

Learners complete approximately three hours of online learning before the practical training. They then complete approximately three hours of practical, instructor-led training and assessment at your workplace.

This option is ideal for businesses that want to reduce the time staff spend away from their normal duties on the practical training day.

Both options include practical learning and assessment. Tell us which option you prefer in the form, or ask for guidance if you are unsure.
